1972 Bally Fireball - $1600 as-is

This game is in the condition in which I bought it. I have not yet cleaned it or gone through it mechanically. I am making it available as-is to free up some space. This game is not in the usual condition of the games I sell and is sold with no warranty. It's a great chance to get a highly collectible game at about 2/3 the normal price.

The only thing I have done to this game is tighten a screw that was causing the score motor to run continuously when starting a game. I have not verified every switch on the game, but the game does play and all major features are working with a couple of minor issues. The disc spins, the flash motor for the Odin saucer runs and stops correctly, both saucers kick the ball out when they should. The zipper flippers are working fully also.

As is typical for Bally games, the fuse holders need to be replaced. The fuses for the lamps were soldered into place because the clips failed, and the fuse for the backbox lights is blown so the backbox does not light. There seems to be an issue with the outhole and ball trough switches. The ball does not always kick out after draining. Knocking on the apron or lifting and dropping the playfield will cause the ball to kick out. This does not always advance the player or ball though. All steppers move freely, so I believe it is a problem with these or other switches.

The playfield looks very nice. The pop bumpers have some dark woodgrain mylar rings around them, but there is very little paint loss anywhere else. All plastics are solid. The top plastic above the skill shot area is warped but can be flattened.

Backglass is in great shape with no obvious flaws.

The cabinet is solid, with original artwork. There are some small touchups, and some screw holes have been filled in the front.

Game is complete, with legs, playfield glass and frame, back door, locks and keys. The coin door has no coin slots, only blank plates.

Game is available for pickup near Cleveland, Ohio. As I said above I am selling this to free up some space so I am not willing to hold the game at this price and I am not looking for trades.
